Flieger Horst Kommandantur Wunstorf " Tabelle für ZZ Landung

The ZZ method (QGX) was a bad weather landing procedure in the German Reich in the 1930s until the end of the Second World War, which was carried out with the help of radio control. It was used when the simpler pushing (QGH) was not possible because it did not allow the weather conditions, e.g. in a cloud cover that was lower than 60 to 80 metres above the ground, or because the push through was too dangerous due to landscaping or structural obstacles with great height near the airport. It required a large concentration of on-board and soil chipping and a long time required. Soon after it was introduced, landing radio beacons or. Guideline system extended.

A note ... the three first pictures don't show the Supermarine Walrus flying boat but the french CAMS 37 LIA (liaison) one. Also there is a Schreck FBA 17 HE.2 kite next to the Loire 130 in the fourth image.

I knew it. But could not find correct cams. So I caved and took the second best. Darn.

Thanks Wurger.
