EZ Line Not Always Sticking

Hi guys,

My dad is currently building a Wingnut Wings biplane. He is in the process of doing the rigging, using EZ line as they recommend, but the thread isn't sticking to the bottom wing. It stuck to the top no problem, but now that he's stretching it to the bottom it sometimes sticks, but sometimes absolutely refuses to. The only difference between the two wings is that the top only has paint while the bottom has the lozenge decals they provide. Both have a clear coat. He's been using CA glue. Any ideas?

Though I have some, I haven't used it yet. Never heard of problems from any other builders so maybe it's the glue? Has your dad given any thoughts to these? I'm going to get some for my 1/48 Stearman.

Don't think he wants to complicate things more than they already are. It is odd Geo, especially since some are good and others aren't.

The decal lozenge could be the reason for the problem. Also it may peel off while trying to get the lines stack and stretched. I would suggest driling with a thin drill bit small holes in the bottom wing in order to get the bare plastic. And then I would try to glue these lines in these openings.

No idea. Wojtek's solution sounds reasonable. Hold the line in the hole with tweezers and zap it with accelerator.
