The beautiful red rose in the picture is a chute from the original planting in 1925. It was a gift from Earl May ( Earl May Seed Company) to my mother acknowledging my birth. Chutes from chutes have been planted in a number of locations as we moved around the country. Today it flourishes in our son's flower garden in Minnesota.
