This model depicts Joachim Muncheberg 's aircraft based in Sicily in Spring 1941. Muncheberg was a rising star at that time having participated in the Battles of France and Britain. He would go on to achieve 135 victories before his death in 1943, when in combat with Spitfires he collided with one.

The Airfix kit is a very easy build OOTB and looks the part when finished.
