I read a mention of a Russian flying tank somewhere. Does anybody have any information on that or is it just made up?

The aircraft that is some time referred to as the flying tank due to it being so heavily armored is the IL-2 Sturmovik. Picture below

They also had the 'Fleep' - the Hafner experimental jeep with a tail structure and helicopter rotor
    Hafner Rotabuggy Flying Jeep

A Valentine tank was modified similarly aswell

    Re 'Flying Tank'.
Former Soviet Union also developed amore modern version, based on the T55 and/or T62 tank, with, I think, short-duration turbojets and jetisonable wings. This was confirmed to me by a former VV-S (Russian Air Force) pilot. I have seen photos, but cant find my reference sources!
