This plate was recently found close to the crashplace. Think that only the R8 Rüstsatz contained this kind of armor? Kurtl

Kurtl please ignore one of the private mails I sent you on this last pic. yes it might just be a piece of Panzer platten, an excellent example even with the plate number in in good condition, my piece off of a SturmFw from II.Sturm/JG 4 is bent slightly and quite rusted but still quite a piece of history. if it is fairly heavy then yes this is what it is. Most likely though it is from an A-8/R2 which the main difference between it and the R8 was that the R8 had the cowling mg covers installed aerodynamically. the R2 also had the configuration but in the R8 from November 44 onward it was standard.
