Hello,
My 2nd I-16 is finished (photos soon). Now, I'm ready for this GB :)
Not decided for the model yet but the list is shorter:
- F6F-3 flown by Eugene A. Valencia, VF-9 => Eduard
- P-47D flown by Neel E. Kearby, C.O. 348FG => Hasegawa
- P-38J flown by Jay T. Robbins, C.O. 80FS/8FG => Hasegawa
- P-38L flown by Richard I. Bong, 5AF => Academy
- A6M2b T.21 flown by Saburo Sakai, Tainan Kôkutai => Hasegawa
- A6M3 T.22 flown by Hiroyoshi Nishizawa, 251 Kôkûtai => Tamiya
- A6M3 T.22 flown by Takeo Okumura, 201 Kôkûtai => Hasegawa
- A6M5 T.52 flown by Saburo Sakai, Yokosuka Kôkûtai => Hasegawa
- Ki-43-I flown by Satoru Anabuki, 3 Chutai, 50 Sentai => Hasegawa
- Ki-43-I flown by Isamu Sasaki, 1 Chutai, 50 Sentai => Hasegawa
- Ki-43-II flown by Yasuhiko Kuroe, 3 Chutai, 64 Sentai => Hasegawa
- Ki-43-II flown by Goichi Sumino, 3 Chutai, 64 Sentai => Hasegawa

So, the choice is: P-38, A6M, Hellcat, P-47 or Ki-43...?
Sergio is building a Ki-43; so I remove it from the list :)
Now, I have to choice between P-38, P-47, A6M and F6F-3... :rolleyes::oops::p
Any advice my friends ? ;):)

Do an "N". Big beast with that extra long wing, only used in the Pacific. Academy makes I nice kit of it I built a few years ago. Only problem I found with it was it has the wrong engine in it but most people wouldn't notice, or else you can fix it like I did.

I was just thinking today that one doesn't often see many P-47s built in PTO markings.
RAF flew P-47s in this theater, it is one of my options, well 3 of my options if i am being honest :lol:

i am toying with either a Ki-84 in a home defense scheme or maybe P-40 "wiarripa wildcat" if you've all forgotten about Wayne and Glenn's builds ?

Hello to all, so far I am giving myself some time to start seeing this new GB.

I think I have good candidates to participate (my 2nd. GB \\:D/), ... :-k ... although I do not think I can start until my He-111 is more advanced than I have. For now I´m in half masking! [-(

My problem is that they will have already realized that I am a bit slow in my processes because of the irregularly available time :hungover:, coupled with my syndrome of "early madness due to detail and progressive and irreversible innovation" :nurse: ... :arcade:

I would like to submit to your consideration what might be options (unless you tell me that one does not correspond)

Apparently it would be from the simplest to the most complicated project:

1) 1/72 F4U-1 Birdcage Corsair "Guadalcanal"

1.72 Corsair.jpg

2) 1/48 Mitsubishi J2M3

3) 1/48 SBD-5 Dauntless

4) 1/48 P-61 Black Widow

P-61.jpg

With option 1, it may give me time to also do option 2.
For 3 and 4, I think I will hardly have the time to try to do any.

I will hear suggestions.

I see that there is a good number of participants, I will be walking slowly for each one, to see their projects and greet them.

Saludos :thumbup:

Hi Luis,

Any of those options look good to me :p

But if i HAD to choose i would go with the P-61,

Cheers Greg

A lovely Raiden would be interesting I think :):thumbright:

Thanks Steph and Greg, for your suggestion. I start to see the projects that participate and the documented information of many of them is very interesting.
One question: is there a deadline to register? I'm still rushing with my AW177 from GB # 40 and I hope to start analyzing it more thoroughly, depending on the time (I do not like to look bad with deadlines), which project could be viable.
I already want to start here with you too.

Gracias amigos, les agradezco y seguimos en contacto.
