The innards. About 1/4 of the parts won't be used as they are for the single seat version. The innards...........

The side consoles and I.P. come as decals. I'll see if I can avoid this.

Started looking at what can be attached before painting. Hasegawa makes this easy by have the innards spread over four different sprue trees. Going over Andy's build shows that the bang seats aren't that great but will be okay under the canopies. Shown are the seat rails with some nonsense that needs to be removed and cockpit detail.

Not a very positive fit for the seat rails...

I spread some tube glue on the rails where they touch the back wall. Once the started to set up I poked and prodded until the rails were an equal distance from the cockpit side walls. I then added Tamiya to the joins to add strength.

Thanks guys. Started throwing paint around. For the innards Hasegawa recommend FS36231 - Dk. Gull Grey. paint4models.com equates this to Tamiya XF-54 Dk. Sea Grey or Gunze 68 RLM 74. I don't have the Tamiya colour and RLM looks too dark compared to the real cockpit so I used Gunze RLM 75. All are probably off any ways as the RCAF used their own colors and I haven't found it yet.
