Thanks guys. Fuselage is still apart as I want to see how much weight I'm going to need to keep la nose on the ground. I can add weight behind the cockpit and in the nose cone. Started on the wings. Yes, these are the wings and not the stabilizers. I knew they were small but....yikes!!!. Clamps are on for the sole reason that no locator holes/lugs were included.

Did a test fit to make sure the wing would fit into the slot as the wheel well also has a slot and is included in this part of the assembly...a tight, seamless fit

NICE! Where's the rest of the wing? LOL gotta love those stubby wings! I stuffed about
10 to 12 grams in my 72nd F-104---on top of nose gear bay, in front of pilots IP and
a wee bit in the nose cone. Then I snuck some poster putty in the gun panel opening.- John

Thanks John. Before I took holidays, I asked our tire shop if I could take some wheel balancing lead. He gave me about two pounds

Minor brain fart. Got the leading edge slats mixed up. I was a bit worried as I glued one on last night but I managed to get it off without issue

There is no way that this thing is going to be a tail sitter. I balanced the thing in my finger at the main wheel position, let go and was moving my hand toward the tail to catch it and it slammed nose first into the desk top. The two bottom insert were a darn near perfect dry fit. Could this be my first putty free build?

Before we button it up an insert needs to be......uh.....inserted. It would have been a perfect fit save for that nub the arrow is pointing at. There is no reason for it but thankfully Hasegawa included it. A quick file and it drops into place

Thanks guys and that it is Glenn. Just finishing the morning cup of "wake me up" and then I'll start to button this up. While that's happening I'll start on my two single seat -104s. They're Revell boxings so we'll see how those go. My plan is to get all three kits to the final stage and then have a mass paint marathon

The togetherness starts. All the clamps aren't really needed. Everything is lined up and I'm making sure nothing moves as the glue sets.

Nice. If you are posing the speed brakes closed then they are tough to get perfectly flush. I think I propped them up a bit form the inside but still had to fill and rescribe.

I was wondering about that Andy. Just did a shufti through the webs and not one showed the brakes in the open position
