Mike Grants decals worked for me, even had some left over although not enough to do another plane

Yep, the sheet was a solid decal film so each one was cut out individually and if one was not careful the printing would rub off, but with a little care they worked really well. Unfortunately it seems they are no longer available but Printscale makes some, might be worth a try.
