I will be building 'Glop Glop', a Lightning of the 431st squadron, 475th Fighter Group operating in the south-west pacific. The 475th website as well as the Superscale decal set lists it as being flown by Lt. F.E. Fenton. I could not find any other information or pictures on the aircraft so any info you guys might have would be appreciated.

Would be interested to know what Gloop Gloop means or refers to. Quite unique nose art.
a thick semiliquid substance (such as food) that is usually unattractive in appearance. 2. : tasteless or worthless material.

And more in slang ( and seeing the nose art this is what is ment )

"A cracked out, drunk alcoholic, that walks around the streets like a zombie. Most of the time defying gravity. Speaking in a language that no one can decipher. Hails mainly from North Oakland, but can be seen in cities across the USA."

Thanks for the explanation. I'd have never have known the slang or tied it in with the nose art. Much appreciated 👍

I started in on it last night. The main gear well boxes were a bit tricky as they were warped. The boom sections went together very nicely though, the only strange thing was that one side of each boom seemed to be cast in a different plastic that had a yellow color as can be seen in the picture and was more brittle.
