George - here is a photo which may be useful. I'm having trouble finding the complete set. FYI there are 21 VC wrapped around the canopy.

actually ... 16 can be noticed.

Unless you mean that one ... so the 26 VC

or the one with the 21 VC markings ...

Thanks another Bill. Deecaling has begun, very nerve wracking. I decided to start on the left wing root. The reason being is that three decals all have to line up precisely. I placed the black stripe on first and got this lined up as best I could as the other two have to butt up against this and also line up half way down the wing leading edge Next came the blob on the right. I had to move both ever so slightly for line-up. Then came the stripe on the left and this fit in pretty darn good. Lifelike gave a large stripe of spare green, in case of slight mishaps I guess

One major problem here is the decal instructions. This is the actual size

It has now been enlarged and printed

The next problem area will be around the star and bar. Again, three decals need to be in perfect alignment

Three more decals on; star and bar went on first and then "C2" and "C3" went on with little problem. Some tenting at the bottom of the star due to a ridge on the top of the wing. Mr. Mark Softer has been really good pulling the other decals into panel lines so we'll see how this goes.

That NMF turned out great George.
As far as photographing it, the angle the light strikes it makes a huge difference. I find myself grabbing the desk light and moving it all around to get the right reflections off the model, but make sure you're looking at the camera screen when you do this because what your naked eye sees will be different.

Thanks Glenn. I have three lights on it plus flash; need to experiment. Our story thus far....I added "C1" and "C11" without fuss. The tenting on the lower part of star is almost done but fighting me all the way. I've gone to Pollyscale which is my go to solution for stubborn decals. It already ripped so I'll need to touch-up. I'll get an actual photo up once the last decals are on the left wing and then I'll start the right. Five decals need to fit together near the wing root

Thank you. As promised a pic of the left wing. 12 decals in all. There should be one more, the red "L" shape on the flap and there may be stencils. Ignore what looks like white below the star. The touch-up paint is still wet and reflecting. I mixed Tamiya X-3 Royal Blue with a few dabs of XF-17 Sea Blue....close enough.

Finicky stuff but looks great. I wonder why they made the decals to fit around the insignia rather than run them through and apply the insignia over them. I suppose the thickness change might have showed through but that's minor.

Thanks guys. Andy, you could be right about thickness. They do feel a bit thicker than a lot other decals but they fit into panel lines nicely
