In my opinion, Eduard's appearance in the modelling world came with a fresh view toward engineering, detail, and accuracy. Their early kits offered lots of parts for which even the small ones were made to the correct scale size. The results were mixed and the skill needed was often above what the average modeler could muster. Much of the engineering relied on high expectations and was sometimes impractical. In the case of the 190, kudos to them for listening to their customers and coming up with a more reasonable, new tooled version. Their scale mistake on the early 109G kit was also acknowledged and fixed.
I like the Eduard kits for their detail, accuracy, and build challenge though I still have some niggles with their new decals.
