Harriet Quimby was already mentioned a few weeks ago I guess. Some more photos below. I was always amazed to see her in a flight suit (the boots are exceptional!):

That's a Kinner K-5 on that Meyers OTW.
160HP and it sounds just like a PO-2!

Gents, one more time Ms. Harriet Quimby.
On this day, April 16., 1912 she was the first aviatrix to cross the English Channel from Dover, England to Calais, France making the flight in 59 minutes.

Her average speed was 31.5 mph.
Must've seemed like "light speed" at the time.

...and finally, I think this girl was posted earlier...

She was Nadia Popova, the last of the Night Witches. She died in 2013, aged 91 years.
