Damned good effort for new kit, well done.
I'm presuming that the the Olympus is the digital camera ?
I used to use Olympus OM-1 and OM-2, 35mm film cameras, with various lenses and motor drive and, being fully trained in professional photography, I was able to use those beautiful, light pieces of superb engineering to their max - for the time.
I now use a couple of Nikon DSLRs, and, although, overall, a lot easier and, to an extent, perhaps more versatile, It's taken me over 11 years to get to grips with some of the few limitations, compared to the "manual" Olympus kit, where some functions were quicker and easier.
But hey, with digital, I can shoot hundreds, even thousands, more frames, with no film or processing costs, and no need to rapidly replace film, and probably get an 80 to 90% "success" rate, as opposed to being happy with maybe 10 to 20 good shots from a 36 exposure film.

Now I have retired I can get out and have been trying to get my eye in again. I live practically on the edge of a Parachute club and have been practicing and these were taken yesterday. The last one was interesting as he clearly was nowhere near the landing zone.

I also went to the local gliding club.
One interesting observation. The older glider a K13 was my favourite glider to train in many years ago and we kept it primarily for spin training as the main trainer for the club, a K21, was for practical purposes, impossible to spin. Talking to the members of the club, the K13 is now banned from spinning as there were a few examples of them losing their fabric when spinning. Lord knows how many times I span a K13, certainly scores and quite likely hundreds.

Some of you may have seen the photo's that I posted re my Father when he was in Germany in the mid/late 1930's. Here are a couple more that we found.

The following is the family that hosted him. I know nothing about them but it is clear that they are well off with fashionable and expensive clothes. An interesting point is that when the war ended he was close to where he was when he stayed in Germany and visited the family. They had all survived, even the son who was a POW, being captured in Italy.

The photo's were taken by his German organisers, and I find the composition of the next one interesting. It isn't a photo of the group in a city square with a German flag in the background. Its a photo of the flag and anything else is secondary. My dad is the face in the middle of the photo at the bottom, closest to the camera, just right of the street sign.
