ajcmac...I would really like to see you do a tutorial on your weathering technique.

I do not have a step by step photos of the weathering that I made in the interiors of the Il-2. I used Tamiya paints.

To paint the interiors, I used the XF-22. In a new bottle, made a mix with XF-22 and a few drops of white. With this mixture I painted the centers of the panels. Then with black, XF-1, painted lines and corners of the panels. These two mixtures with approximately 80% of diluent.
Once made, with very rapid passages, and with the airbrush almost closed, vertical lines, first with XF-22 and then with XF-01.

Then the chipped paint with a mixture of brown with some black was applied with a sponge.

Clear Gloss applied and after a wash with Bitumen of Judea. Then Matt Clear and painted instruments.

Thanks for the explanation. Is the Clear Gloss Tamiya or is it enamel based?

Crimea

Use the clear gloss from Alclad.

While the seat belts do not come, I completed the landing gear wells...

and radiators.

Done. Ready to glue the wings.
