Hawk 200s ?I'm wrong about this. I had remembered a similar aircraft serving in the strike role for the Saudis and others but CRS has apparently kicked in.

Oman flew Stikemasters (The combat version of the Provost) and lost a few in combat. Several other Middle East and African counties flew the Strikemaster as well. I know Botswana had them, seen one on a stick when I was there

Actually the Provost is fast, it can accelerate faster than a stock L39 and IMO is easier to fly.
