Turkey beats Austria and is through to the Quarterfinals.
Someone apparently woke up. Or maybe it helps when when I'm not watching.?
I still have no faith in this team. This was Rumania, not Spain or Germany.
Well most of them are, due to the ref. going nutz in the previous game most of the Turkish team booked today will be missing in the next match.

Damn, what a heart breaker.
Pity Chris. For one moment I thought it would be a real German-like resurrection. But it was not to be.
France-Portugal it'ss game of two washed teams having trouble to find the goal.
The Germany v Spain match was dramatic and some great football. Portugal v France was two teams with massively hyped strikers but actually the defence on both sides were stronger than the attack. I am just happy to see the end of the Ronaldo circus.

Its a shame Germany and Spain met before the final. It was a final worthy game
I agree, it was a proper "match" as I understood football, I hope Spain go on to win. France have now progressed to the semi-finals of the Euros scoring one penalty and being awarded one "own goal". If that was football in the 1800s when the game started no one would have got of their backsides to watch it. No amount of media presentation, stats and adoration of "stars" gets over the fact that it was just a bore.

I think Spain will win it all, but I'm hoping the Netherlands do.
Fish n Chips are worried, there are rumours around Dusseldorf that the Swiss are on a roll.
