When I was a kid, the common buzzard was a rare bird here in the Netherlands. Now they are everywhere. Still a great bird to see though and quite difficult to get on camera. This one flew over my head and the picture now serves as my desktop wallpaper.
Very common bird, but still a nice one. The wester jackdaw seems black at first sight, but actually has many colours. My wife, who is a writer, wrote a story with this bird as a subject and I made the photo to go with it.
