THE Patrick O'Brian? The writer?

Old post but I thought I'd clear up the confusion in respect of the artist. Patrick O'Brian was the well-known author of the Aubrey/Maturin novels and not the artist of that painting. The artist is Geoff Hunt and his work graced the covers of O'Brian's novels. I linked some of Hunt's work in post #64 above.
