Yup, Wojtek! The colour on the Mossie's canopy - combination of anomolous reflection caused by the clear canopy with the internal and external framework, and colour temperature of the overhead lights in the display hall. Problem solved!

I don't think so Terry.Possible the problem is with the photoetched parts if the modeller used them.It can be a kind of mistake.Simply he forgot about the frame painting with the interior green.Look at these magnification of pics, please.I'm still not convinced.

Now that I've seen your enlargements, I do believe you're right, Wojtek. It definitely looks like bare metal (brass?) in those last pics. Pitty, because apart from the roundels and the lack of blending of the canopy, which wouldn't be noticed in normal viewing, it's a very nicely built and finished model.

And now I agree with you Terry. These roundels were applied in a wrong way, I'm afraid. I mean without the gloss "primer" that's way the silvering is slightly visible on the decal edges. But it is a very nice model indeed .

I agree with the above. The D-9 pic is for me now isn't it Wayne?

Now how did you know that?

Next up is Third place in this category..Kawasaki Ki-61 Very nice!

Second place in this category!

The Russian Stars are not decals! They were sprayed on, created from Masking templates....

I loved this one as I want to recreate this in 1/32 as well!!!
