I spent the day at this local show and my Israeli Spitfire built for GB 31 took the Best Bare Metal Finish award. The show is a bit different in format in that all awards are sponsored by individuals based on themes so there are no placings in each of the categories. Here are some shots of a few of my favourites, taken on my phone for your viewing pleasure:

1/48 Accurate Miniatures Avenger.

Tamiya 1/48 Do335 with my Ju88G-6 in the background.

A nice 1/48 Eagle, which won best 1/48 multi-engine.

One for Jan: a 1/48 Viggen.

Zukei Mura's impressive 1/32 He219 which, after taking with the builder, appears to be a real b!tch to put together.

Revell's 1/72 Type VII U-Boat, nicely painted.

Not sure the type here but it's a 1/35 tow truck, nicely done:

Dragon's 1/350 scale USS Independence with lots of after market add ons. I'm now doing the Princeton now, and Independence class carrier and hope it turns out as nice as this one.

Though I'm not a chopper fan, I thought that this one was very well done, especially the glazing and how the PE grille was integrated with the rest of the surfaces.

That's it. Enjoy.

So much good stuff there. I could have taken hundreds of pics but I've learned over the years that I usually run out of steam in posting them all so I only took a few. I very high calibre of talent there for sure.

Very good jobs and excellent photos Andy, thanks for sharing.

Un abrazo amigo
