Wayne you have been going to these competitions for years. Do they rotate the judging to avoid personal conflict of interest? I would think that it would be hard to not let such factors play into the judging.

I can imagine that some the more superior modellers and judges begin to know each other. And while it might be easy to assume that 'friends' would vote for friends, it is also easy to entertain that they react the other way and wish to "spread the wealth around" and afford others medal opportunities even if not really warranted.

Judging would not be a fun job with such tough competition.

Thanks Guys, as far as I know they have the same basic Judging group with new additions and they try to rotate them. The comps in SA and Vic have a Point schedule with 4-5 sections to judge the various portions of a build.

Yes Judges get to know each others builds but I would like to think that on following a sectional point system that they should be able to get it right....BUT! I guess there is always a chance the system can be bent slightly in some cases...I am aware of a time where a 1,2,3 placing was redone when the head Judge reviewed a category and felt that the judges got it wrong.

Now here's something not quite finished by the look of it...?
