Nicely done - one very small niggle - the figures look too glossy. Overall though, well built and finished, and with a good display, telling a story.

Now I know what it reminds of... it is the distressed picture frame work wherein you paint a dark color underneath, then a lighter color over the top and subsequently spray/brush a top coat and the upper color (lighter) becomes distressed and cracks.

Late to this post...There are some very good modelers down under. Excellent choices of camo by them for models. Of course congrats to you Wayne.
