Anyone that has known me in the 16 years I have been on this forum knows I obviously love military history. They also know I love heavy metal music, i.e. Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc.

Metal music and military themes have always meshed well together.

Sabaton is a Swedish band that does just that. Their songs are military themed songs from all eras, although many of them are from WW1 and WW2.

Mind you, the songs may not be fully accurate, but they are very entertaining, and the music videos are fun to watch.

The first one here is about the Bismarck.

LONG ago (had to be early 80s) I happened to meet Mick Fleetwood at an aviation museum here in Arizona. He said that he wanted to record an album based on his father's Bomber Command experiences but don't think anything came of it.
And no...
Steve Nicks was not there...
