So my question is can the Corsair pilot claim a kill? hahaha
March 15, 2016 - During a refueling stop at the Midland International Airport, an original Nakajima A6M2 Model 21 Japanese Zero and FG-1D Corsair were involved in a taxiing incident on departure. No one was injured in the mishap although the both aircraft suffered damage.
In a statement released by Texas Flying Legends Museum (TFLM), "Both aircraft will be back in operation within the year."
It can happen on some props, depending on how they are set up, RPM at the time of shut-down, etc.
I think the pilot would have just hit the switches, and not followed proper shut-down procedures.
Jo might know more about how this props set up.
