P-51D Mustang Survivor: 44-74445, N4132A, Pecos Bill, Owner: Pea Hochso LLC, Based: TX - Status: Crashed. World War II, North American P-51D-30NA Mustang survivor in civilian ownership
This Mustang has been on the civilian circuit for many years. I first saw her when she had a blue paint scheme as seen in a couple of photos in the included link. This picture was taken in 2007 in Columbus Ohio. She is an annual visitor to Oshkosh and I look forward to seeing her again in a couple of months.
Not even close to an accurate c/s but for some reason I love the look of this Mustang. She has worn this c/s since 1969 when she was bought by Tom Wood. Mr. Wood passed away in 2010 but the aircraft is now owned by Tom Wood Inc. I don't know but my guess is it must be one of the longest private owned Mustangs by an individual ( or organization associated to same )
Yet another GML photo, September 2007 at Columbus Ohio. Lots of blue nosers around but this is one of my favourites. The splash of yellow really makes this bird "pop".
