His name was Damien, he was 14 years of age. We got him from a family that surrendered him: They had him for 12 years, then mysteriously "developed allergies" to him. From what we found, they had him to the vet once in 12 years and largely treated him like a potted plant.

He was a large black-cat with green-eyes -- he was almost 20 pounds when we got him, and was a little under 8 pounds at time of death, and had an easy going temperament. Though some people say stuff about cats being distant, he was quite social.

I'll post a picture of him later.

Very sorry to hear that. I have a cat, Theo. He is an asshole. But he does not mind a bit what we think of him. 2 big German Shepards included. Secretly scared of him.
But i am very sure we would cry like little girls when it is his time. German Shepards included.
Hope you have fond memories of him.

Sorry to hear that. Sorry for your loss.

We had two cats. Unfortunately I had to take one to the vet to end her suffering last year. It was the hardest thing I ever did. She was 17 years old. We still have our other one. She will be 5 this year.

That's sad news. Even two years can be a life-time.

I'm dreading the time our oldest goes- we've had her just over 19 years now, and she's getting quite frail. She's quite literally our daughter.
