Thank y'll....!! Appreciation is realy appreciated...
today Alclad airframe alu...tricky...took me 2 hours..( plse bear in mind..airbrushing and alclad is new practice for me..)
almost screwed up the lot...but was able to save the day...I have been reading a lot about alclad...but one tends to forget the details..om hind sight I should been reading this again ;
Scale Model Aircraft
Specially the part about the airframe alu from alclad....!!

Still in doubt ; Original japanese colours and markings or TAIU with us markings ( leave blank alu )..Tech Air Intel Unit...

I am watching this part closely,as I will be using Alclad 2 Aluminum NMF #101 for a Hase 1/32 P-47d down the road. How do you find it to use. Is it much harder to work with opposed to say HU or MM enamels?

Some findings working with Alclad II ( despite numerous forums on the subject..)
My Iwata airbrush with 0.2 nozzle is too little to handle large surfaces, it took forever to cover the aircraft and as a consequence I applied too many layers, used 1 bottle of airframe alu...!!
I applied Tamiya white primer- which looked quite smooth to the eye - but still seemed quite coarse once the airframe Alu was applied. Note taken, needs further sanding with a very fine grit ....
The surface really..really needs to be very smooth...!!
As a test, I applied alclad white alu on the centre box of the wing, just to create some effect. Just to find that the color difference between airframe and white is not quite exceptional...see pics.
I need to do some further experimenting on the subject, but now will use a spare wing section, not to ruin the model in the progress...
will try some more tonal variations with alclad and eventually the kawanishi green from gunze..
