Unfortunately, the only kit in 1:32 I found available on the market was the one from Hobby Craft, the quality of which is very poor, at least in my opinion. So in addition to the several modification needed to meet my goal, I had to deal with some refurbishing, the biggest of them was the main rotor.
Required modification were:
- Create space for larger rear door
- Almost completely scratch build new passenger area and new rear doors.
- Improve front seats and add seat belts to all of them.
- Scratch build a new dashboard
- Scratch build new higher and longer skids
So, let's go with some pictures.
First of all the new openings and the cut off portion including the small window to be used as master to mould resin doors.
Also the initial steps in building the passenger area.
