A.C.M.E was the company that Wyl E Coyote got all his equipment from that he used to try and catch the roadrunner in the roadrunner cartoons !

Now that you mention it, that Road Runner does look a little different than what I remember seeing around there...

I know what you mean by all the building down there thinning thier numbers, though....when I was a kid, we had Horney Toads all over the place, and now they're nowhere to be seen

Went out and spent sometime in the yard again and got some new birds, the shot on the woodpecker is a little fuzzy, he just would not sit still I hear you Dave, I remember all the Horn Toads when I lived in Long Beach. Don't see any anymore.

A couple of weeks ago, I was at the car dealer getting my 50,000 mile check up. I saw this shadow on the wall in the waiting room of some Ivy and a planter. It gave me an idea and came up with this drawing. Hope you like it.

The Horney Toad memories got me thinking about all the "critters" that roamed our backyard when I was a kid, like King Snakes Rattlers, Lizards (Alligator, Blue Belly, etc), Possums, Racoons and all the birds...good memories all of 'em!

Great shots on the Hummingbird, those really came out nice!

Great shots Merv. I really like the bird shots but the shadow art work is outstanding sir. Dave, your description of what you had roaming around reminds me of where I grew up except you trade the Rattle Snakes for Copper Heads.
