With getting ready to start a P-40M for the Commonwealth Group Build I had a look at the P-40s on the shelve already completed and I thought I would post them

I saw a picture of this aircraft somewhere among my many books (couldn't find it when I looked for it today) and tried my best to put all the small details into the build including the painted out tail number, and the faded OD control surfaces. It was the first time I had gone that exacting in a build.

you missed the red dot in the insignia

Thanks Guys!
The P-40 has always been one of my favorites, particularly the earlier models. My 1:1 cockpit project in the basement actually started out as a P-40C on paper before I switched gears to the P-47. There have been many times when I regretted not picking the simpler structure of the early P-40c

The source picture -which I still can't locate- does not have the red dots and was probably taken a month or two after Pearl Harbor.

I like this P-40 model. P-40 Warhawk is also my favorite WW2 plane. Great job Glenn.
