Rob it is either the Shokaku or her sister ship Kuikaku the W shaped rear flight deck support is a give away. I also found the 2 ships design to be curious, as they look like conversions of capital ships at 1st glance like the 4 earlier IJN Fleet carriers. But they were build from the keel up as Carriers so the open flight deck extensions always looked like an odd choice to me for ships that were meant to operate in the vast Pacific ocean. You sure that's IJN Shokaku?
Zuikaku and Shokaku look very similar in appearance.Rob it is either the Shokaku or her sister ship Kuikaku the W shaped rear flight deck support is a give away. There's an even more interesting airplane behind. I think many people would be surprised to learn where it was actually built.
Looks like a Fairey Battle to me.There's an even more interesting airplane behind. I think many people would be surprised to learn where it was actually built.
I'll grab my coat!ANT-25 if memory is correct. A replica, as no originals exist, unless we ever find the one lost in Alaska.
