You sure that's IJN Shokaku?
Rob it is either the Shokaku or her sister ship Kuikaku the W shaped rear flight deck support is a give away. I also found the 2 ships design to be curious, as they look like conversions of capital ships at 1st glance like the 4 earlier IJN Fleet carriers. But they were build from the keel up as Carriers so the open flight deck extensions always looked like an odd choice to me for ships that were meant to operate in the vast Pacific ocean.

Zuikaku and Shokaku look very similar in appearance.
