My dad was involved in the building of the Pima Air Museum;s P-51D "Bad Angel". I will be sharing 61 photos of the restoration/build over the next few weeks. I will try to post 4-6 photos a day.

    Pic 1 - my dad

Pic 2 - the aircraft as it was put on display this month

Pics 3-5 - the restoration area.

Nice. It's always great to see the folks who put in the time and effort to do these projects.

You never really appreciate how much work goes into these restorations until you spend time around them. It really is a labor of love for guys like your father.

    Sweet shots !.

Good to see another '51 being looked after. Incidentaly, the Rudder trim knob in your last batch of pics....might just happen to have come from our Tony (Rocketeer) as I know he supplied one via ebay to Pima. They are very good (I've got two !)

More pics please especially of the cockpit fittings and the floor ?

I've got some cockpit shots coming up. As for the floor I'll have to ask dad for those. He's got several hundred. I'm posting the 60+ he sent me. Keep checking back, I'll see what I can come up with.
