Finally finished my Stuka after what can only be described as endless dicking about. Even by my lowly standards I don't feel I 've done a fantastic job on this one, pretty sloppy in places, the nose in particular was a 'mare, I got a bit filler-happy and lost a lot of the detail, also getting a clean line on the yellow bit was tricky. Anyway one more for the shelf.

Yes, its a nice one. I also gave my dad the monitor and virginia for christmas. Except these are way bigger and hand crafted with wood and very nice and high quality. My wallet......!

Very nice!

That battle changed forever the way ships of war would be built. Armor, steel, and steam have replaced wood and sails.

While the Monitor and the Merrimac fought to a draw that day, wood and sails were defeated.

Seldom in history is such a change centered on one day, one battle.

Quite.. I want to build a trireme or some variant of an ancient battle ship. Paint all the shields and oars and oh that would be fun, they do make a plastic kit but its like $60!!
