One restaurant in Cairns had roo on the menu so I ordered it by saying I will have the road kill.

After the meal was finished the chef came out and asked how I liked the roo. I told him (honestly) that it was the most tender roo I had ever eaten. He said that was because it tenderized by being killed by a 1976 Nissan Cedric traveling at exactly 48kmh. It was a great restaurant when he was chef but ordinary once he left. Until then his food was the only thing I liked about Cairns.

I once met a guy who claimed to have hit one roo and one Emu on the same trip with his car. I didn't see either of them but I saw the car. Grill, radiator and hood were fine (mostly) but the headlights and fenders were all destroyed.

When I was a child, I don't remember buying aluminum foil in rolls to make tin foil hats.
