This brought back a memory. I used to work in a hospital and about once a month there was a drop in lecture for an hour anyone could attend. One lecture was one from an RN doctor who worked on a Trident submarine and he went to sea for the length of the deployment. The lecture was about working on a nuclear sub and it was what you would expect. The length of the patrol, the fact that there were few patients who had an illness as they were checked before they went to sea. A lot of it were 'industrial accidents' falls and issues with hatches and that he often acted as a 'counsellor' to the crew.
In the question session he was asked 'what is a submariners main fear' and the reply 'toothache, I am not a dentist. I have training in simple fillings and extractions but if anything else is needed, I have a book and an app.'

It made you think.
