Here is a joke on us.
The "Scientists" decided that preventing infection from COVID 19 would require at least 20 feet of separation. They decided that they could not sell that and changed it to 10 ft.
Discussions with the political types indicated they could not sell 10 ft and changed it to 6 ft.
So the supposedly essential 6 ft of separation that led to all those stickers on the floor at stores was less than one third of the recommended separation distance, which was no more than a wild ass guess in the first place.
And to think that us mechanical engineers joke about "Calculated with a computer, measured with a micrometer, and cut with an axe."
