Great hauls people. Love the camo on the Japanese flat-tops Wayne. Would love to see them when they're done. Do you post them here or else where?
By Gawd, I love B-day gift certificates. Brought these home from P.G. today.

Going to do the Constellation option, bottom of the sheet. Already have one F-14 and one F-18 done from the Connie.

Going to do a captured scheme with this as befits my oddball scheme fetish.

Might do another Constellation scheme or see what needs to be done to make it an RCAF bird, other than the spotlight on the port side.

nice, but cant help but notice how make-shift some japanese carriers looked !

Some of the japanese Carriers were "make-shift" converted from other ships to Carriers, Ryuho was converted from a Submarine tender with a short flight deck, then the deck was extended later.....

While the Unryu class were purpose built carriers from the start, 3 completed and a further 3 under construction.

Looks very nicely detailed for 1/72 Evan

This came in the mail today to be used on a P-40F in my stash. I've seen pictures of these P-40s many times and couldn't resist it when I saw the decals. Never used Kits-World decals before. They look to be very well printed. Hope they go on nice as well.

Great score Glenn!

And yep, apart from the main wing tank shapes and underdetailed cockpit and main wheels, Airfix can be very proud of this kit - haven't seen the Fujimi kits, but this is much better than the Esci, Hasegawa, Italeri, Matchbox and original Airfix offerings.

Today I found one of my grail kits. I first got this kit when I was about 4 years old and I helped my dad build it. I played with it for quite some time before it completely fell apart. I've seen them on evilBay but the cost has been a hindrance untill now. My LHS had 4 of them. Woo Hoo...

I also picked up two Academy P-47's. One razorback and one bubble top. Once I find some decals on the web I'll be ready to attack the razorback.

Good stuff guys.
My 'missing' order has finally turned up, courtesy of a high-energy carrot given to the new Donkey at the Post Office I presume!
The Airfix 1/48th scale BAe Hawk T1, and the old 'Aeroguides' book on the Hawk. A nice little kit - well done Airfix, see, you can do it when you try!
The book is so-so, but I've just spotted the Kagero 'Top Shots' book on the Hawk, at a very reasonable price, so that's getting ordered tomorrow.(One seller on Amazon is asking £33 for the book - get outta here!)

Thanks guys. This one, and the Revell 1/32nd scale kit, will be finished in the overall black scheme of 19(R) Sqn, 4 FTS, Valley - just like those we saw a few weeks ago. Looks like I might be getting a collection of Valley kites together - got the Wessex to get back to, the Hawk(s) to start, and a Hunter ready to go when I finish the Sea Fury and another commission build under way at present. Might add another Hawk in the earlier red/white/grey scheme - just need a 1/49th scale Gnat - if someone would make one !
