Very nice Terry, half off for a damaged box? Outstanding. The Tamiya I just picked up was less than half including shipping because of the box I'm assuming.

Wow I knew it, the Beatles are still at it, this time wanting to shatter the records for selling kits ! :D amazing :O

Good catch Keith, and thanks guys.
Beatles? It's actually Beatties, a large (UK) modelshop chain which 'disappeared' about 10 years ago (why, they-had-to-go, I don't know .... sung in 'G'!) - got the kit from a specialist dealer I use quite often.

Don't you just love Google Translator. Good luck Jan. These just came today. The Mosquito can be made into a NF Mk.II which I hope to convert into a NF Mk.XIII. Anyone have any thoughts?(Didn't see the Airfix model until after my purchases). Also shown, the top two Spitfires belong to RCAF pilots. I've already built James "Stocky" Edwards Mk.VIII, QJ*F and was just waiting for decals.

Next we have two more RCAF birds. I've always wanted to do the Canso in an RCAF squadron.

Finally, curse you Dirk for getting me into yet another theme...Formation Aircraft.

Ah, the old Monogram Mossie! I've built a few of those, before the advent of the Airfix 1/48th kits !
Overall, it's not a bad kit, with lots of options - a feature of Monogram kits of that era. It has a number of inaccuracies, but many areas are nicely detailed and quite good.
The main problem area is around the tail, at the fin and rudder, which is too small. To be honest, this can't really be noticed - except by anorak-wearing, carrot eating, micrometer-toting, rivet-counters. The cockpit details behind the seats, and the seats themselves, are very spurious, to say the least, but easily rectified by a little scratch-building.
On the whole, a nice model can be made, especially the NFII or FBVI (nose on the bomber is a bit shallow and 'pointy'). I think I have a Beaufighter radar nose, which could be the basis for the 'bull nose' of the later Mossie night fighters if you need it?
