Going to get him a little 'Thank you' prezzy, when my wallet recovers after getting this.
Not modelling stuff, but will definitely be used for aviation-related subjects, and some modelling shots.

Picked up Special Hobby's 1/72 reboot of the USAAC Seversky P-35A. Really became interested in this plane after reading "Doomed at the start" and the kit is really nice. The only thing I find questionable is the second seat, complete with seat belts, in the baggage compartment. I know they stuffed at least 2 people in there in an emergency, but an actual seat? I'm thinking not...

This is one I have set aside for me. New. Blisteringly good review....... I want it for my HS-4 SH-34J helicopter like I crewed in!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know this Mfr and their kits?

Not purchases but lets say acqusitions of which a couple will be enroute to mate for he is in it lot more than I.The lady I aquired these from they belonged to her father a Jack Saunders who did some beautiful work in some of the joints he did .The man liked originally it seems the Old Time Free Flight but started getting into radio control in the 70/80's.I also got like 10-20 .020 engines in disassembled form of which I told the daughter would not do me much good w/out schemetics and low and behold the schemetics showed up w/gaskets .And guys there are easily over a hundred assembled some brand new in the box some the size of my hand!! I will probably go back later and p/u probably more supplies than anything paper, wood, fittings etc................

Great scores everyone!

Bill, MRC is associated with Tamiya somehow - have often seen their products listed as 'MRC Tamiya' (especially their 1/35 tank and RC car ranges, IIRC)

Can't say what the actual relationship is though, unless it's the usual 'Academy/Minicraft', 'DML/Dragon', or 'MPM/Special Hobby/Azur' deal..?

I have built a couple of their AFV kits. Wonderful detail, lots of "goodies", and intellegent instructions!
Bill, clear your PM catche, it's full! I tried to send you some more detailed info, but couldn't.

PM is now "MT"

The review I found has a few little issues with fits and gaps, but they seem to be nothing someone with a little experience can't cope with. The amount of detail, includes the round engine as well. Interior has framed and webbed seats tho so I will have to scratch build the sonar station again. A much simpler arrangement than the 3A I built.

So I is gonna gitit.

Jan, my HS-4 build will be a Yorktown b1rd. From the dates of my cruise. The SH-60's never operated from the Yorktown, I believe.

Well Bill, you having called 'The Fighting Lady' home, doesn't help my ever so slight USS Yorktown (CV-5 and CV-10) obsession!

Hopefully, it is the decals for my 1/48 Tracker, USS Yorktown, waiting for me at the post oficce, will pick them up on Friday!

Me will get one of these as well!

Good stuff chaps, and I was wondering about that Gallery Models/MDC kit too - recently saw them advertised at Model Hobbies.
This arrived today, thanks to help from Karl. It'll be converted to the A-1 version, for my BoB collection (spare parts for canopy and gondola included, so just shorten wing tips ailerons, and modify engine cowls, plus a few other minor things.). Just waiting for my second order for the Do17Z to arrive, then all I need are another four Bf109Es !
