Great purchases all. Got these today. The F-86 will become an RCAF bird. Debating whether to do another NATO Top Guns aircraft or the Golden Hawk version. The gold paint may be an issue.

My first Soviet aircraft.

And the pièce de résistance, a George for George. It will most likely become a Captured aircraft though I do like the number in the hinomaru.

Good stuff Geo, and I was thinking exactly the same! just been moving models into the new cabinet, and cleaned the Academy Sabre, thinking 'Must do a RAF Sabre some day'!
Karl, got a great article, with colour profiles of all RAF and RAFG Sabres, and full details of the variations in paint and markings, if you need it.

would not hurt to have it stored away for future reference

After following Vic and Karl's threads in GB#17 and doing some research I had to buy this.

It will be done as an RCAF aircraft, either EE311 or EE3361. These two meteors were used for winter trials in conjunction with the RAF in 1946. If I can find a reasonably priced F.4, this will be done as RA421 in 1948.

EDIT: After looking at the decal sheet I can cobble the serial numbers together and make EE311. :p

Good catch Geo, and a nice kit. I've just missed a F4 and a F8 on e-bay, both by one measly Pound!! They normally go for really silly money, but these two went for £26 each. Still, I'll get one or the other eventually, to accompany my 56 Sqn F3 - but not at the moment, or there'll very soon be too much month left at the end of the money!!

Yep, it's the same e-bay Geo. In fact, when I couldn't get my e-bay password and user name to work, it was Karl who eventually got me the Do17 from e-bay USA - in fact, two of them, but the first one went missing somewhere over the Atlantic!
Main problem with using USA or Canada sites, is the shipping costs, very often much more than the cost of the item bid for! On the other hand, a couple of weeks ago, I got some camera accessories off e-bay, one from China, another from Hong Kong, both very cheap, and free shipping!
