Good stuff chaps. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Javelin Karl - really tempted to get one! I see another visit to Newark air Museum on the cards, for detail photos !!
might be quicker than you think mate, missus says a parcel arrived today !
so i think Javelin has arrived within 24hrs of ordering, stuck at work till 10pm tonight so suspense is killing me ????

Well, I said no more than 2 today :( but I ended up picking up 7 :D :( at our local competition CAPCON 2013 ! Pictures to follow and a huge update on the F-86F sabre too since I've completed her, just need to post the build progress (was so busy down to the wire for CAPCON that I didn't have time to post)

Here are the pics :)

I've been searching for this kit for 5 years, lusting after I picked up some decals for it, and today, MC. 205, cockpit set for it, vacuform canopies, Masks and some fancy Exhausts :) + the very same decals :D :)

and finally the best deal of the day, from the "silent" auction, $5.50 for what I originally thought was a 1/72 kit, but in fact its a 1/48 F-86F-40! JASDF !!! :D :) Can never have enough Sabres ! :D :)

What an awesome time and although I didn't place, I enjoyed it immensely :) met some awesome fellow modellers from around the country and had a great time :)

Thank you both :D I don't know which is better for me the MC. 205 (like a grail quest for it :D) or the Silent Auction Sabre :D The Decal sheet on the Silent Auction Sabre is huge, it has enough decals for the entire squadron lol :D

Very cool :) looks like a nice kit :)

I always loved the lines of the Hampden :)

Not a new kit but something I found and bought last Sunday at the annual Model Show in Milan.

May be you know them already, but I found these products very good and I like to share them with you.

First is c.a. glue that seems to work very well with transparent plastic

Unfortunately my pictures aren't very clear but on my test the joint is very strong and clear plastic didn't suffered at all:

Second is a set including a thin c.a. glue and a dispenser of what they call "mineral sand"

Again I did some tests.

1. I filled a gap 2 mm wide by 17 mm long and after a few instant I a very hard joint that I was able to send it flat with a motor tool.

2. I glued a .25 mm thick piece of transparent plastic to a piece of plasticard at 90 deg angle and reinforced on one side only with the sand/glue mix: once more I got a very strong joint.

Honestly I don't know if these products are available outside Italy, may be under a different name, but here is the link for the Italian shop:
