Generally, the Zvezda kits require a little bit more of working than those of Tamigawa. The manufacturer should pay more attantion to surface details of ailerons, rudders and elevators. At least, of these 1/72 scale models. But these aren't too bad. On 6-point scale I would give them 4+/5 depending on the model scale. The main problem of Zvezda kits are decal markings. Although there is no problem with applying of them ( at least I haven't encoutered the problem so far ), the white in markings gets yellowish often. As a result you may be forced to look for some of aftermarket decals. However it seems that it is a problem of the decal glue because I have seen kits with decal markings without the yellowish tinge.

Good ones Wojtek. I really liked my 1/48 Zvezda 109. I agree with your comments but will add that my kit was provided with an unmatched amount of detail parts to make a nice, detailed model. I also liked that all the control surfaces were separate.

Yep... the separate control surfaces are a great idea. If these would be moulded in the way we could use either aftermarket rasin ones or just made from scratch by copying from other kits. Anyway it is not a problem.

I like browsing through here to get future purchase ideas. I've got the Zvezda LA-5fn on my wish list... I like the pugnacious look of the front end and have been curious about Zvezda kits after Andy's 109F build.

As far as my stash goes, I now an itty-bitty collection of kits. This is not a purchase but a gift from a friend in Japan...

I also picked up a large scale 109G-10 but I'm waiting on Alley Cat's resin correction kit for the G-10 to be made available again before I start.
