Needed some M60 MG's for my planned Vietnam gun trucks. Got these from BNA Model World out of the thunder from down under. I even forgot what I ordered but the price was right. I search ebay, find what I want and then got to the sight of the seller if they have one, ie A-modeler = BNA Model World. Save quite a bit.

It's funny how things works, eBay and it's second chance offer....I grabbed it!

....not at a fantasy price either!

Only six were built, right?
Were did they go?

Actually, according to John Vasco , 12 were built. The first batch went to 1/ZG1 in the west in Spring 1940. Some photos show examples with 1. 1/Erprobungsgruppe 210 during the BoB. Three served with III/ZG26 in the Med. Some also made their way to the Eastern front with SKG210 and ZG1.

The ones that made their way to SKG210 & ZG1 were carried forward when Erprobungsgruppe 210 was re-designated I./SKG210 in April 1941.

Here are the details as far as is known up to present:
2148 (KD+TR) : fate unknown
2149 (KD+TS) : fate unknown
2150 (KD+TT) : fate unknown
2151 (KD+TU) : fate unknown
2152 (KD+TV) : 5./SKG 210, 100% on 16.12.1941 (S9+MN)
2153 (KD+TW): 8./ZG 26, 100% on 8.12.1941
---------------
2249 (NJ+ZW): 6./ZG 1, 100% on 27.2.1942 (S9+SP)
2250 (NJ+ZX) : Erg.Zerst.Gr. 90% on 10.2.1943
2251 (NJ+ZY) : 7./ZG 26, 85% on 28.3.1942
2252 (NJ+ZZ) : III./ZG 26, 40% damaged on 4.6.1942
2253 (BR+PA) : fate unknown
2254 (BR+PB) : 4./SKG 210, 100% on 18.10.1941 (S9+AM)

Of the five marked 'fate unknown', what IS known is that 1. Staffel, Erprobungsgruppe 210 recorded losses of Bf 110 C-6s on the following dates:
30th July 1940 (Lt. Hans Herold & Gefr. Lotar Lilienthal)
11th August 1940 (Lt. Kurt Bertram & Ogefr. Gerhard Mertins)
11th August 1940 (Gefr. Christian Weiss & Ogefr. Richard Keilhaupt)
15th August 1940 (Lt. Erich Beudel & Ogefr. Otto Jordan) S9+TH
So, four of those five 'fate unknown's were lost in action between 30th July 1940 and 15th August 1940.
