I also like modern fighters.

sometimes forget that the main focus of the forum is WW2

That's ok mate, there's no reason whatsoever to apologise, we all buy and build more modern stuff as well, I've got a few jets in my stash (E/E Lightning, TSR.2, F-8 Crusader, F-4 Phantom, SAAB 35 Draken, just to mention a few) and I dare say there's a few othes around here with a few blowtorches in their plastic treasures....
So, again, no apologies needed!

Cheers for the photos Andy! The original kit was pretty nice, but this seems to be a geat improvement on it. Nice touch the PE instrument panel too, and love the interior detailing!!

Yeah but they evidently didn't work well in practice. Also the middle float as supposed to be able to be jettisoned in any dire need for speed and that was a bit of a bust also. Dustbin of history. Wish I could find some cockpit drawings or pictures...

well finally received the trumpeter corsair and extra decals for the va-193 " ghost riders ".
I also had a little surprise 1. set of 3 hvar rockets. 2. a set of post war corsair wheels. 3. open cowling flaps and mk viii gunsights. all resin I am one happy chappy.

Got my Fujimi 1/48 Bf 109G-14 delivered today....

Lo and behold, as I not only found Ernst Scheufele's bird in the kit....

But also Herbert Maxis' bird....

Even though I think that Maxis' 'White 13' is the wrong shape....

.....and they look more 'Cream' than 'White' to me..

....it's still two 13's in the one kit, which if you ask me, is totally cool!

(did I just sound like a bombed out teen!? )
