I just noticed that this site has no Reputation system. Is there a reason we don't have one?

I think things like that aren't really worth anything to the site. It adds no value, hence, we don't have it. If you spend a little time reading on the site, you get an idea of who knows what, etc.
It isn't really needed. I am on forums with it as well and most of the time it is pointless and people care to much about it. Here everyone who has been around a bit knows who knows what and who is who etc and puts up with it. Don't like it, the door is just over there....

If we did have a reputation thingy, would it make my status under my name say something like "Mean Bastard" or "Evil Bastard"?

it's worthless, I mod on one site that has it and as far as I am concerned it just denotes popularity.............forget it, also it is just one more thing to tie up a web-site not needed.
