have been given this today by a girl at work, who is de cluttering her dads house !

33" x 25" subject is H.P Halifax "Friday the 13th" of 158 sqn RAF, a replica of which is at the Yorkshire air museum just down the road from where i work !
ok not quite just down the road but just under 40 miles away !


 
Nice shots Karl, when I clicked on the thread it took me to the first page with the pics of you and your daughter, man how time flies eh?. I can relate as three weeks ago we dropped our youngest off at college, the house is so empty without her.

our Daughter left for University 4 years ago, the wife still not used to it
 
I live at further down the same line. I dont know if you know but these boxes were from when the line was electrified, it was converted back before the war because they considered electrified railways to be vulnerable, if you knock out the electricty you knock out the whole rail system.

It gets half a mention in here. Castle Eden Railway - Wikipedia I can just remember seeing a steam train on it at the stockton end 1966 or thereabouts, when they first closed the railway there were still parts in those boxes that were obvious electrical connections

Been getting it rough up there with the storm - saw some pics of the snow and damage on the news.
Bit windy here, with a light snow flurry, but not too bad, apart from cold.
