Spitfire MK IIa

Well, here are the pictures i know some of you have been waiting of...my almost finshed Spitfire MK IIa...i just need to add about 5 more tiny transfers and 1 big one. This Spitfire MK IIa was my first Airfix model and i think it has turned out pretty well.

Just a question do you thin your paints? Cause if you didn't it looks alot better than my first model,since I didn't thin my paints...but, now that I have an airbrush all is better

No i didnt thin my Paints....but i gave the undercarige sk colour about 3 coats...the dark brown 3 and the dark green 2. but that was only because it kept leaving random patches. all was resolved with a extra couple of coats though

Will, she's looking quite nice as for the first time. But why do you make your models with the landing gears retrected?

The reason the landing gears are retracted is because im going to hand them in mid combat with the luftwaffe over my model railway. when ive built Chesterfield Station and the town its self and placed all of the aircraft i will post some pictures for you all : )....but not for a while yet....ive still got to finish the loft were im building the Railway lol.

You're going to build Chesterfield in 1/72 scale? What, all of it, wonky spire and all? That will be a sight! 8)

Nice looking Spitfire Will, alot better than my first one, *mumble* years ago! LNER was it you said, always liked those before the BR fiasco, LMS being my favorite....8) Great Western stand in a class of their own with their machines, but still....

Thanks! yea i love the A1, A3 and A4s and alot of the smaller engines too. LMS are pretty amazing but in my eyes not as good as the LNER engines and yes...Great Western do stand in a class of their own with their machines lol
