The great Minnesota State Fair is underway. We had it on our "to do" list for many years. Fun, adventure and good food. My favorite was "about a foot long" hot dog with fried onions and mustard. I had two, one on the way in and another on the way out. If I could handle the walking I would be eating the first about now. They were .75 cents when we first attended the Fair. Five years ago $1.75. Wonder what the price would be today?:)

Maybe the new strategy should be to walk in, buy a hot dog, and walk out? :D

According to an inflation calculator, the "foot long" would be $1.89 today (assuming no other causes for price changes) - the same logic would also place your 1st visit to the Fair at or around 1983.

The suggested new strategy would satisfy the hunger but it would wipe out the fun. Our first visit would have been in 1964;)

Oh Bill, you are evil beyond redemption. Onions...mustard...foot long. MUST HAVE! That has to be the most perfect hot dog in the universe. My envy of you has reached new heights.

Now I REALLY want one of those! Pardon me while I try to figure out where I can get at least an approximation of that, somewhere around Tampa. I'm outta here! ;)
